How Cadoo Scores Your Form (and Why Some Reps Don't Count) — Cadoo

Cadoo is where you stake money with friends on reaching your fitness goals. Cadoo-verified workouts make it reliable. Shareable skinned workout videos and cards make it fun.

When you record a camera set, CadooVision does more than count motion. It scores each rep’s form, then credits only the reps that clear the bar. That credited count is what moves your progress — and what keeps money games fair.

Credited reps vs attempted reps

After a set you’ll see three numbers:

  • Attempted — reps the camera detected.
  • Credited — reps with form at or above the credit floor.
  • Average form — average form among the reps that passed.

Only credited reps count toward your goal. A sloppy set can show a high attempted count and a much lower credited count — by design.

The credit floor: 65%

Each rep gets a form score from 0 to 1 (shown as a percent in the app). A rep is credited when its form is at least 65%.

Practice mode uses a slightly higher bar: you unlock recording with one practice rep at 70% or better, so your real set starts from a clean setup.

Very bad or fake motion is crushed under a farce cap (about 35% or below) so it cannot sneak past the credit floor.

Camera facing rules

Wrong camera angle is one of the fastest ways to score zeros. Use the facing your exercise requires:

  • Pushups, squats, situps, dips — film from the side.
  • Pullups — film from the front or back (not the side).

Practice mode shows an outline and coaches you into frame before the real set starts.

Why this matters for games and brands

Credited reps are the unit of progress for camera games — including public Cadoo games, private family games, brand Group games, and Earn-pool campaigns. Verified sets can become skinned shareables and winner cards you (or your brand community) can share.

Hosts and brands can launch games on cadoo.games/cyoc or explore brand tools at cadoo.games/brands. Play always happens in the Cadoo app.

Frequently asked questions

Do all detected reps count toward my goal?

No. Only credited reps — those at or above 65% form — count. Attempted can be higher when some reps fail the form bar.

Why did practice unlock but my real set barely credited?

Practice needs one clean rep at 70%+. The money set still scores every rep. If facing drifts or depth drops, later reps can fall under 65% and not credit.

Can I use phone video for walking challenges?

No. Rep games use pose tracking for form. Walking and step games sync from Apple Health or Google Health Connect instead.
